Modern forwarding ensures that information such as player IP and UUID are verified and transferred from Velocity to Paper. The settings of the proxy and all backend servers must match.

In Velocity, change the value of
player-info-forwarding-modetomodernand verify that the forwarding key is read from the correct file. -
Enable the Velocity section in
config/paper-global.ymlin Paper. Useonline-modeand the same secret value compatible with the proxy's authentication setting. -
Apply the required authentication settings on the back server and proxy according to the official documentation. Keeping Legacy Bungee forwarding on at the same time.

Regularly start processes to reload configurations. Check that your test account comes with the correct UUID and inventory via proxy.

Don't share the secret value and protect the back server port at the network level as well.
