Geyser is a bridge that allows Bedrock players to connect to a compatible Java server. Use the platform-appropriate Geyser version on Paper.
Step by step
-
Check the Paper and Java server version on Geyser's support table. If the document requires ViaVersion for a legacy Java target, add that as well.
-
Put the Geyser jar file released for Paper into the
pluginsfolder. Turn on the server and examine the resulting Geyser configuration. -
Select your Bedrock listening port and transport mode. If you are using Classic UDP, open the relevant UDP port. Set your account verification method based on whether you use Floodgate or not.
-
Try separately the existing port on the Java side and a real Bedrock port from the external network. The first error in the Geyser log may indicate incorrect platform or port conflict.
Keep in mind
Follow the proxy-specific installation steps to determine where to install Geyser in the network that already has Velocity in front of it.
