When running a modpack on a server, use your own server distribution if you have the package. Not every mod in the player package may be suitable for the server side.
Step by step
-
Find out which version of Minecraft, Java and mod loader you'll run the pack on. If the package has a server file, download it.
-
Extract the package to a separate directory and follow the installation or launch instructions provided. Automatically changing the installer version included in the package.
-
Complete EULA and basic server settings. If there is a missing dependency or client specific mode error in the boot log, look at the specified file.
-
On the player side, enter with the exact same package version. Then verify world creation, basic mod features, and reboot.
Keep in mind
Try it on a separate copy before adding mods or changing the package to the live world.
