How to test Minecraft Bedrock UDP port?

Instead of looking at a random TCP port site for Bedrock, use a Bedrock status request tool or an actual Bedrock client.

Step by step

  1. Determine the port used in the server configuration. On Linux, check the classic UDP listener in the ss -lun output.

  2. If Geyser and the Java server are on the same machine, do not settle for the Java port to work. Verify that the Bedrock listener is opened in Geyser's boot log.

  3. Check in your network rules that the correct UDP port is going to the correct machine. If the Geyser transport mode you use imposes additional requirements, meet them as well.

  4. Enter the address and port separately with the Bedrock client from another network. Select the correct edition in the status tool and compare the result with the game link.

Keep in mind

No response in UDP alone does not distinguish between a closed port and packet loss.
